Should countries rely more on renewable energy than on fossil fuels?
There are several reasons why fossil fuels often become a topic of heated debate. I believe that countries should rely more on renewable energy, mainly in the hope of slowing climate change.
Firstly, I am concerned that environmental damage is now beyond what we can predict, and fossil fuels are one of the biggest contributors to this harm. For instance, air and water pollution are caused by the process of burning fossil fuels. This is not only extremely harmful to the environment, but also leads to the loss of biodiversity and, ultimately, the breakdown of ecosystems.
Additionally, air and water pollution caused by fossil fuels naturally have a negative influence on our health. Air pollution may cause lung disease, while water is one of the most vital resources in our lives. Nevertheless, water scarcity is a concern in many countries because of global warming. Poor air and water quality are sufficient reasons to transition to renewable energy.
Furthermore, we currently rely on fossil fuels for 80% of our energy. Even though they are affordable and efficient, relying on a single resource for 80% of our energy seems too risky. I firmly believe that if each nation cooperates and makes its best efforts, it will be possible to develop renewable and sustainable energy sources.
In conclusion, it is time to switch to renewable energy for the sake of the environment, our health, and, ultimately, a better future. Considering how rapidly technology has developed, I truly believe that we can improve renewable energy and gradually make the transition.

Artificial intelligence currently has a mixed reputation. Recent news has reported several troubling examples, such as AI systems going rogue, escaping from systems without being noticed by human oversight, recommending suicide to a suicidal person, or talking about childhood experiences as if they had experienced them. Nonetheless, I believe artificial intelligence can improve society more than it harms it.
Firstly, artificial intelligence is already being used in the medical industry and is valued for its accuracy. According to medical news, it can detect abnormalities that human eyes cannot notice, and it can support quick and accurate diagnoses. These are excellent examples of how technology can be used for the benefit of society.
Secondly, artificial intelligence is extremely capable of multitasking. Therefore, it can improve work processes and make them more effective and productive. It can perform various tasks simultaneously and in a short time, such as gathering, analysing, and summarising data.
However, some people, including myself, view artificial intelligence as a danger and remain sceptical about it because it can exceed human understanding and continues to evolve. Technology companies have reported many incidents that they could not predict or had not even considered. It is essential to operate artificial intelligence under strict regulation and not expect it to exercise the same judgement as humans.
In conclusion, artificial intelligence has already improved efficiency in many areas of life, even though we may not notice it in our everyday lives. If technology companies and users use it responsibly, it can improve society much more than it harms it. Considering how much governments have invested in it, artificial intelligence will become increasingly visible in our lives. Thus, I truly hope that it will be used for the benefit of society.
